There have been many versions of Day Of The Dead released over the years,Arrow Video,Scream Factory and Anchour Bay each with what would consider a less than lack luster pricture however with Umbrella's release the film has finally been given a great transfer,watching the film on a Samsung 75inch 4k Telly the picture looks better than any previous presentation,there is a lot more colour and depth in the picture and a far more detailed sharpness,this is the best the film has ever looked,the soundtrack both in 5.1 and stereo 2.0 is about the same as previous releases,the 5.1 mix is very front heavy with very little surround effects if any however ever special features from previous versions has been carried over to this release and is contained on both the Bluray and DVD. If your looking for the complete version of this film that has a much improved picture,honestly the gore scenes pop of the screen now then add this to your Dead collection…
