Description

In the late 1800's, Elijah is trying to survive in a turbulent and violent time doing what he knows best; tracking down fugitives. Elijah is a well known and hated bounty hunter, who is hot on the trail of a beautiful fugitive, named Alexa. Elijah finds and captures Alexa and then tries to take her in for the reward, but they're ambushed by a small band of renegades, forcing them into a river. As they crawl out of the river, safe from the renegades, they see that they're in a very remote area, but on the horizon, the silhouette of a small town rises from the dust. Elijah and Alexa make it to the small town, called HOPE, where they're greeted with friendliness. As they walk around the small, quiet town, Elijah begins to have a sense of foreboding, as though he's seen many of these people before. Then it hits Elijah. All of these people are former fugitives that were hung or killed. Just as Elijah makes his discovery, the people also realize that Elijah is the hated bounty hunter and they assemble an attack. Bruce, the aging sheriff, who was wrongfully labeled an outlaw, steps in to help Elijah and Alexa. Bruce hands them some glasses, which transforms the living outlaws into disfigured demons, showing the gruesome scars of their deaths. Elijah discovers that bullets aren't able to kill what is already dead, so he resorts to fire, burning the people and then the town. As Elijah and Alexa make it to the outskirts of town, they turn, seeing that the town sign for HOPE, transforming into "Welcome to Hell. You can never leave."
