Kate joined the Peace Corps right after college graduation. She was sent to El Salvador and served from 1963 to 1965. The book is a collection of letters written to her parents describing her activities while working in El Salvador and while vacationing in other Central American countries.

Author Biography:

Kate Griffin is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer having served in El Salvador from 1963 to 1965. She is now retired after careers in both teaching and sales. She enjoys the reunions with the others who trained together in Oklahoma and spent two years in either El Salvador or Costa Rica.
