Description

Detinna and Delphi go to Guatemala to gain access to another world, so they can free the Time Thief imprisoned in a deep cave. The journey is an incursion into the beautiful landscape of Guatemala, interfaced with the spirits of olden times. The Lady of the Falls and the Spirit of Air are archetypal companions who would help them battle the Cave God who has more power than them all. In the end, the couple discover something more important than life and death, or any powers that gods or people might have.

Author Biography:

In writing this story, the author has made use of several trips he made to a remote village in the interior of Guatemala. There, he experienced the indigenous lifestyle, which included an ancient Mayan cave ritual. For several years, he taught a course on indigenous cultures, featuring sacred art. In the shamanistic culture of Guatemala, the natural world can provide a portal into another dimension where one can suddenly be involved in events of cosmic proportion.
