Description

For dinosaur lovers and tourists alike, this is the guidebook to the paleontological treasure trove of the western United States, Lockley offers a comprehensive and up-to-date review of fossil footprints, of both dinosaurs and other vertebrates, from the Palaeozoic through the Cenozoic eras. A series of appealing illustrations depicts dinosaurs in their natural habitat, and an appendix lists museums and other major repositories of tracks and replicas, providing details on tracksites open to the public. Included annotated references and detailed descriptions of important specimens, describing how interpreting their trackways can help explain their behaviour.
