Author Biography:

Michelle Langford received a PhD in Film Studies from the University of Sydney in 2001. She is author of Allegorical Images: Tableau, Time and Gesture in the Cinema of Werner Schroeter (Intellect: Bristol, 2006). She has also published numerous book chapters and journal articles on German and Iranian cinema. Michelle currently teaches Film Studies at the University of New South Wales, Australia.
