For centuries, the West has had a dominating effect upon the ideologies of the rest of the world. The prerequisite to the global hegemony of what is essentially 'white' culture has been the disempowerment of other cultures, other societies. other races. In his controversial book, Rhodes-Ebetalaye discusses the theological implications of such a skewed world order, and argues for the rightful re-empowerment of 'his' people, of Africans, by reclaiming and taking control of their own cultural and religious identities.
