Dr. Tom Griffiths is the president and founder of Aquatic Safety Research Group. An international leader in water safety, he has spent nearly forty years teaching, coaching, and managing aquatics at three major universities. Focusing on aquatics safety, Dr. Griffiths has produced many videos, textbooks, articles, and presentations, and he has conducted hundreds of aquatic facility and beach inspections. He also teaches full-day Aquatic Risk Management courses with his daughter, Rachel.His contributions include the Five Minute Scanning Strategy(c), Griff 's Guard Stations(c), Disappearing Dummies DVD, his research on Shallow Water Blackout, and the National Note & Float program. Sharing his knowledge, expertise, and experience worldwide, he has appeared on Sixty Minutes Australia, Inside Edition, Good Morning America, and many other television and radio programs.
