Description

Back cover of Dream Traveler A dictionary of pain and beauty, Dream Traveler is a group of stories written from dreams spanning a bridge of over 100 years. Are the past, present and future separated by time? Or is it possible that all living beings are connected to their ancestors through genetic memories or by contiguous unending existence transcending time and space? In 1996 Ana's husband was murdered in Hawaii in a racial gang attack trying to save a stranger's life. Shortly after his death, Ana started having a series of astounding and startling dreams. With uncanny accuracy Native American people, long since dead appeared in her dreams and told her their stories. Validated by real events, Ana realized she was dreaming about the Massacre of Wounded Knee. She was introduced to Arthur Short Bull, Ogalala Sioux and grandson of Short Bull one of the disciples of the Ghost Dance religion and a great medicine man, and became very close friends. Synchronous events started to mount when Ana discovered that she was a direct descendent of General Alfred Sully who was placed in charge of destroying the Sioux Nation after the Civil War. She also found that she was a blood relative of Jean Louis Legar, the prosperous fur trader who died in poverty for helping Sitting Bull and his 5,000 Hunkpapa Sioux survive in Canada for several years. Dreams or genetic memory. you decide.
