I have to admit I like the Dungeon Siege II alot better than this expansion and it seems like it has been rushed, but aside from that…
Dungeon Siege II: Broken World takes you back the world after it is turned apart from the clashing of the sword and shield…the world is completely different and almost looks like it is dying, it also features new characters and new voices, along with a small amount of other things…
Adding to the original powers from Dungeon Siege II, you can now extend melee and ranged fighters to get ‘blood assassin’ and ‘fist of stone powers’ which of course are able to be used on the new enemies you will be facing in the game.
There also seems to be a stiffer angle of motion compared to DSII, but aside from that – potions, spells and items are basically still the same. Though you can now gather items for enchantment-based “recipes” which are basically just like creating enchantable items, except they have a purpose and ingredient list and spells of enemies also look quite good and are similar to those of the Dark Wizards seen in the first game.
The story is also much shorter and you could probably finish it within 3–4 hours max, but the enemies in the game I must say are alot harder on anything higher than mercenary and saving or the teleport spell or potions are crucial to progressing in the game at those levels.
Overall the game is graphically still the same as the first but alot dryer, there a small number of added extras that do add to game play and can help you fight new enemies and the story does conclude DSII for now, but don't expect too much of an improvement and you won't be disappointed.
