Description

When freelance photographer Penny Lane trips over a dead body on Hoylake beach she makes a terrible error of judgement. Now she must put matters right. Her overnight transformation from photographer to amateur private eye is the easy bit but as the body count increases with frightening rapidity, tracking down the killer proves more difficult. With crime writer husband Josh offering encouragement, she finds herself at odds with the police, and rubs shoulders with villains in seedy Liverpool night clubs and exotic Albert Dock penthouses.Bruised, battered but unbowed, Penny Lane follows a murky trail that rakes up the past, shows her a menacing future, and leads her to an unexpected and shockingly brutal success.
