The role of information and communication technologies in agriculture has grown substantially in recent years, allowing stakeholders to apply these technologies to improve food chain efficiency, productivity and sustainability of agriculture. This publication presents case studies on innovative uses of emerging technologies to improve the livehoods of farming communities, including 3D food printing, electronic traceability services, and multi-parameter monitors of indoor air quality.
