He was previously Professor of Political Science at the University of Amsterdam. MARK N. FRANKLIN is Stein Rokkan Professor of Comparative Politics at the European University Institute, Florence, Italy and Professor of International Politics Emeritus at Trinity College Connecticut. He was previously Professor of Political Science at the University of Houston, Texas.
