Author Biography:

Slobodan Petrovic is a professor of Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering at Oregon Institute of Technology. He has more than 30 years of experience in various areas of science and technology and has published, presented, and patented more than 80 works in these fields. Prior to his joining OIT, he was an associate professor at Arizona State University, a vice-president of engineering for a power fuel company, and a member of the technical staff for Motorola, Inc. He is also Founder and President of a non-profit organization, Solar Hope, dedicated to helping developing countries through use of renewable energy. Since 2009, he has been leading student groups to South Africa and South America to help bring renewable energy to developing countries and has supervised more than 100 solar installations for schools and hospitals in remote areas.
