Heard the term “oldie, but a goodie”- This is one of those. Enemy Mine may be an ‘Old movie’, but what a fantastic story. Loved it then, and still do.

Dennis Quaid & Louis Gossett Jr make a great team. Full of action with some comedy. If you like sci-fi you will enjoy this. Great makeup. Thouroughly enjoyable
Enemy Mine
Enemies because they were taught to be. Allies because they had to be. Brothers because they dared to be. Survivors because they had to be.
A fierce deep space battle blazes between the stars as an explosive war between humans and the reptilian Dracs rages on in a deadly fight for intergalactic supremacy. But when pilot Willis Davidge (Dennis Quaid, Innerspace) crash lands his damaged fighter on an unknown planet, he becomes stranded and challenged to survive the adverse alien elements. Caught up in battle, staunch Drac opponent Jeriba Shigan (Oscar® winner Louis Gossett Jr., An Officer and a Gentleman) also crash lands on the same desolate planet and it is only a matter of time before the two enemies come face to face.
Plagued by dangerous creatures and an environment threatening to swallow them up whole, the two disparate soldiers must overcome their cultural odds in order to make it out alive. A dynamic sci-fi treat from respected genre director Wolfgang Peterson (The Neverending Story, The Perfect Storm), Enemy Mine is a suspense-filled adventure into a dangerous and unpredictable alien world where seeing eye-to-eye is the difference between life and death.
