Description

It is Easter Break, 1946. Adam Shoemaker finally leaves on his quest to find his father, missing since the Battle of the Bulge during WWII. Adam has changed his name back to Schumacher but accepting his distant past has only increased his fear that his father may have deserted. His mother, released from a tuberculosis hospital, will be safe in a cottage at the Gunderman's home. But, Adam will not travel alone. Besides a stowaway in the back of his truck, Shaddi, the spirit of good, is with him. Strangely, the dark shadows, the demonic spirits who mean to bring harm, have also followed him from Indiana into Ohio. Unaware of post-war military activity in the Dayton area, Adam and his friends stumble on an espionage ring. Will the traitors block Adam from finding his father? Will the shadows prevent his success or will Adam finally conquer their hold on him? As the week moves on, time may run out. Escape from the Shadows is the sequel to Escape from the Belfry. You will enjoy reading Escape from the Shadows if you have not read Escape from the Belfry.
