Description

Punk was not only a musical movement: it was about looks and images, whose means and uses it was redefining. From its beginning in the mid-1970s, punk established a model for an alternative practice of art, which still retains its efficacy more than 30 years after. Gathering together a vast array of visual material for the first time, Europunk features fanzines, posters, clothing, paintings, objects, record covers and films which stress the incredible quality and vitality of these alternative artistic productions.
