Description

Everman Drive, in the 1950's and '60's, was a one-of-a-kind, blue collar neighborhood in Dallas, Texas that literally took in, befriended, and taught life-changing lessons to an innocent, neglected, exploited, and abused eleven-year-old girl. Though she only lived there two years, the love and guidance she received from these hard-working, generous people would change her life and the lives of future generations. Everman Drive is a coming-of age story that will, in the beginning, make you cry, but leave you cheering for the neighborhood and the main character.

Author Biography:

Linda Horton was a California State licensed Private Investigator specializing in insurance fraud for thirty years, and a California State credentialed Adult Ed Teacher for ten. She realized her life-long dream in the mid-1980's when she began publishing fiction and non-fiction articles in local and national newspapers and magazines. She now has six published novels based on true stories and one inspirational non-fiction. Everman Drive is number seven, another non-fiction. Linda has also successfully taught adult professionals how to write for publication. Her other passions are playing the five string banjo, guitar and piano. The most important things in her life are God, her children and three grandchildren.
