"Eyes and Ears in Saudi" is a non-fiction account of an R.N. employed by the Saudi Ministry of Defense in Taif, Saudi Arabia, for nearly three years. The author tells about experiencing female repression, lack of freedom, and learning to function within an Islamic restricted and repressed society. She tells about living in fear under Saudi rule and culture shock causing emotional trauma, even though, working in an International environment of expatriates brought rewards, and her contract provided exceptional travel opportunities.
