"A Full-On Feature"
4 stars"

Depp, like usual, crawls out of his public relations shell and becomes a character only the best of us could comprehend. Alongside Del Toro, Depp finds himself immersed in what is quite possibly the most outlandish critique of the Vegas circuit. You would see the clam and calculated character of ‘Blow’ match the erratic, imbalanced madness of ‘Jack Sparrow’, and here is Depp, within himself, a long way from home.

An excellent installment

"A trip you won't forget!"
5 stars"

A psychedelic dark comedy starring Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro based on the book by Hunter S. Thompson. Johnny Depp is also the narrator. The film is set in the early 70's about two friends with a boot load full of drugs who travel to Las Vegas in search of the ‘American dream’ Johnny Depp is sports journalist Raoul Duke. Benicio Del Toro is Samoan lawyer Dr Gonzo. We get to see the mind altering hallucinations of Raoul Duke [Hunter S. Thompson's alter ego] A cult classic!

Crazy but very clever movie. When I figured maybe I'm suppose to be on the same trip in the same state, it was alot easier to watch.

Critic Reviews:

  • " The one stand-out is Johnny Depp, who brings Hunter S Thompson to bald-headed, pigeon-toed life. " – Xan Brooks
  • " It's certainly distinctive, looking at times like Richard Lester put through a postmodernist blender. " – Jonathan Rosenbaum
  • " A beautiful cinematic showcase for Thompson at the peak of his writing skills. " – Christopher Long
