Purchased on Mighty Ape

I only finished 64 percent of the storyline in my first, and so far only attempt, and it took about 45 hours.

It was very easy to follow the story to the first game because until you got the airship you had to pretty much follow a set path. You start with an airship in the sequel, and can literally go anywhere right from the beginning. If I had to sum up the story in one word, it would be REUNION, because that seems to be the general theme of the game. I found the main story hard to follow because of the fact you are free to go where you please.

The combat in this game is real-time turn-based, so you have to wait for a meter to charge before your attacks launch.

I found the combat to be easy in the sequel, and theres no really hard boss fights provided you are leveled up. This is good though as there is no frustration factor, it's all pure fun. It's a bit frantic in the opening of the game as you get used to the new system though.

NB: I own the american version so I'm guessing the FFX-2 released here in NZ will be a little different.

This game is the “bomb!” It has everything a game should have: great graphics, beautiful story line and three butt-kicking chicks! Now, this game certainly changed the face of the Final Fantasy series but, I think it's for the best.

It's the first FF game to have a all-female party and some of the male fans might think that it's directed to more the female side, right? Yes, at first may seem a bit … girly (as some might say) but once the game actually starts, it's a very entertaining game!

There are tons of mini games and some of the facial expressions are hilarious, cute and sometimes heart breaking. Also, the voice acting is top notch.

The battle system, as you will more than likely know, has completely changed, but it's fun and it definitely works.

I have one thing which I have a problem with (but as with FFX, I got over it), lip syncing. In FFX, it was bad but in FFX-2 it's shocking! Most of the time (more than FFX if you ask me!) the words DO NOT match with the lips!

Anyway, besides the lip-syncing, FFX-2 contains beautiful graphics, an entertaining battle system, fluid animation, and a dark, beautiful and sad story line.

Final Fantasy X-2 has definitely earned its name!
