"An awesome sequel"
4 stars"

Final Fantasy X-2 is set two years after FFX. Unlike other Final Fantasy's FFX-2 is mission based. You choose the mission that you want to do and when you have completed it you earn a reward. The battle system goes back to the classic ATB system instead of the turn based combat in FFX. This game uses dresspheres which are similar to the job systems from previous games. Story wise is a typical FF story of saving the world. The story is weaker than some other Final Fantasy's. The story is more cheerful than FFX. This game is still a ton of fun. My major problem is that there are no aeons meaning you can't summon creatures. Otherwise it is still an awsome game in the Final Fantasy series.

After playing Final Fantasy X over the course of many years, I felt it was time I got X-2. It is a massive update from Final Fantasy X incorporating an updated refreshing battle system and a variety of different games and mission-based gameplay.

You have the whole of Spira at your fingertips with many mysteries to uncover as you piece together the past of the characters you play. It can be a little cheesy at times, but all-in-all it builds upon the Final Fantasy X story – which is what most of us interested in this game want.

You get what you want – so if you want to get it, get it!

Description

Final Fantasy X-2 marks the first true sequel in the famed Final Fantasy series, but is in many ways a new game. Incorporating several new elements to gameplay, this title can be considered a new methodology to the Final Fantasy franchise. Keeping true to the series tradition, Final Fantasy X-2 has advanced gaming to new levels and is set to be another landmark title for the PlayStation 2.

Taking place two years after Yuna's fateful journey to defeat Sin, the once chaotic world "Eternal Calm." The people of Spira now shun the teachings of Yevon and have opened their arms to former foes, the Al Bhed and the use of machina. It is a time of the "Machina Revolution" where people now believe that machina is useful and beneficial, as long as it is used properly. However, even with the peaceful life they now lived, there is emptiness in Yuna's heart that is keeping her from moving on as the others have.

One day, Yuna obtains a mystical sphere that contains imagery of what might be the Blitzball player she thought was gone forever. Although Yuna isn't certain that it is him or if he is even alive, she's driven to seek him out. Yuna needs closure to their unexpected parting, even if only to find that she will never see him again. So begins her journey, this is Yuna's story.

Features:

* First true sequel to the renowned Final Fantasy series.

* Story focuses on an all-female cast, including the introduction of a new main character.

* A variety of new and unique job classes such as "Gunner", "Mascot", "Gambler" and the atypical "Pop Star" can be accessed utilizing the "Job Wheel" system, seen previously in Final Fantasy Tactics.

* For the first time in Final Fantasy, characters can switch job classes during battle using the Sphere plate.

* Stunning transformation sequences, rivaling those found in Final Fantasy X.

* Renovated world map and airship, simplifying travel.

* A return to "Active Mode" which speeds up the pace of battles.

* More dynamic movements in battle previously unseen in Final Fantasy titles.
