It’s not often that I take the time to rate or review my purchases, but so far this game has blown me away. Wasn’t sure how I’d feel as a dusty old FF fan since 1999, but this entry feels like something special.
Final Fantays is always my go to for experiencing an emotional story, and the latest installment, XVI, was not short of that matter in any way. The visually beautiful Valisthea and it's stunningly rich history gripped me like nothing ever did before. I loved Clive, I cried with him everytime he did, he won me over with his soft spoken and polite demeanor even after all the trauma and sufferings he had to go through. Even if you didn't play any Final Fantasy game before, let this one be your first one. Enjoy the true art in the form of a video game and let it immerse you to the fullest!
Don't listen to the numpties trying to talk down on this game, they have no idea, clearly brainless. This is a wonderful addition to the Final Fantasy universe / series and a great return to form. Best they've brought out since FFX in my opinion! ( other than FFVII remake – but I'm not counting that as a new instalment as we still have the OG VII ) Hopefully they build on this and go even better for FFXVI.. Looking forward to the DLC for this & FFVII Rebirth to tide us over until then.
