Description

Are you tired of your job? Are you bored with the predictability of your regular routine, whether you are in school, employed, or retired? Innovative educator Roy P. Fairfield encourages persons of all ages to achieve "re-FIRE-ment," to get fired up by using every sliver of time to its best advantage. Everyone has creative potential waiting to be discovered. The challenge we all face is learning how to tap into that potential to release our creative gifts. Fairfield shows the way in this fun, practical, and truly inspiring book. Drawing on the ideas of Abraham Maslow, Carl Rogers, and other pioneers in the humanistic tradition, Fairfield discusses everything from developing a climate for creativity to the uses of illusion to spur on creative expression of all sorts. He includes a series of entertaining and interesting exercises, including "Count Down to Re-FIRE-ment," and "Crap Detecting as a Way of Life," which can open entire new mental landscapes to be explored with joy and satisfaction. A hands-on guide for living in the moment, "Get Inspired!" will change your life.
