The second volume encompasses the worldviews of the Bible for Jews and Christians, the Holiness of God, Psalms in the Septuagint, similarities in ancient Near Eastern narrative and the Hebrew Bible, the Bible in the cultural settings of ancient Rome, Oriental theologies, and the function of biblical metaphors. This is volume 389 in the Journal for the Study of the Old Testament Supplement series.

Author Biography

Deborah L. Ellens is an independent scholar of Hebrew Bible Languages and Literature. Jay Harold Ellens, is a highly published scholar on the interface of the disciplines of psychology and religion/spirituality. He is a Professor Emeritus of the University of Michigan, a retired Presbyterian theologian and pastor, and a retired US army chaplain Professor Isaac Kalimi is currently Rosenthal Distinguished Visiting Professor in Biblical and Judaic Studies at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH) and Professor of Hebrew Bible and Ancient Israelite/Jewish History at Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies (Chicago).
