Following the success of Vertigo, the band produced the more dance orientated Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub), originally released in 2001. Featuring a range of guest vocalists and musicians – including Riche Havens – the record left behind the mellow outlook of its predecessor, embracing a more upbeat club aesthetic. Like Vertigo, the album was an international chart hit and met with positive critical reviews.
Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub)’ followed the release of ‘Vertigo’ in September 2001, breaking into the UK Top 5. Likes its predecessor, the album produced singles that defined the sound of the time in the Grammy nominated ‘Superstylin’’ and ‘My Friend’. It has been certified Gold in the UK.
