This year’s Annual features exceptional work by our talented judges, our Platinum, Gold, and Silver award winners, and our Honorable Mentions. Also included are a retrospective on our Platinum 2012 Photography winners, a list of international photography museums and galleries, and our In Memoriam list of photography talent that has left us over the past year. Platinum and Gold Winners explain their assignments, the approaches they took to complete their work, and the finished results, giving us a look into their creative processes.

Author Biography:

B. Martin Pedersen,Graphis CEO, publisher, designer, and editorial director, has earned industry praise for his elegant and timeless design. At Graphis, his prestigious international juried award competitions for Design, Advertising, Photography, Illustration, and New Talent recognize outstanding global talents. As a publisher, he produces the finest quality design industry books on the planet. Pedersen is the recipient of some of the industry's highest honorary titles alongside numerous awards from the AIGA, Art Directors Club, and Type Directors Club. Notable honors include the Society of Publication Designers inaugural Herb Lubalin Award for Excellence in Editorial Design, the Columbia University National Magazine Award for the Best Designed Magazine of the Year, and the AIGA Gold Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Design. He is an inductee into the Art Directors Club Hall of Fame and an Alliance Graphique International (AGI) member.
