Description

Green Analytical Chemistry: Current Status and Future Perspectives in Sample Preparation presents the state-of-the-art in the field of GAC sample preparation procedures. With a focus on green chemistry, the book highlights how new techniques make it possible to observe a lower environmental impact without sacrificing the performance of the procedure. By proving a theoretical background of novel green technologies and proposing new protocols, this book addresses innovative methodologies in analytical chemistry and sample preparation following the requirements of green analytical chemistry demands. It is a valuable resource for researchers, chemist, students, and all those interested in the allied field.

Author Biography:

Prof. Locatelli is Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry and his research activity is aimed at the development and validation of chromatographic methods for the qualitative and quantitative determination of biologically active molecules in human and animal, cosmetics, food, and environmental complex matrices. These procedures have been applied to different analytes and drug associations also finding application in clinical and pre-clinical studies, to characterize new delivery systems of the active principle to improve their pharmacological properties. In the development of the method are predictive models and chemometrics applied both for the optimization of extraction protocols and for final data processing. Particular attention is given to innovative (micro)-extraction techniques and new instrumental configurations for the quantitative analysis of complex matrices. Savas Kaya is associate professor at Sivas Cumhuriyet University, Turkey. His research interests lie in theoretical chemistry, computational chemistry, materials science, corrosion science, physical inorganic chemistry, and coordination chemistry.
