Author Biography:

Sandra Lawrence is a freelance writer. She is a regular contributor to the Daily Telegraph, and has worked extensively for The Times. She specializes in heritage and history features, and has been the London columnist (with a considerable following!) for the American magazine British Heritage for the past eight years. Sandra also writes historical fiction for 9-12 year-olds. She lives in London. About the Illustrator: Armed with his trusty mapping pen and bottle of ink, David produces his darkly comic, and often surreal, illustrations for a broad range of clients from around the globe. Newspapers, magazines, clothing, books, and pub signs, from the USA all the way to Australia, are all on his roster, as well as creating artwork for private collectors around the world. David currently lives in Southsea, Hampshire, UK.
