Jelke Bethlehem, PhD, is Senior Advisor in the Department ofStatistical Methods at Statistics Netherlands and Professor ofStatistical Information Processing at the University of Amsterdam.His current research interests include web surveys,computer-assisted survey information collection, graphicaltechniques in statistics, and user-friendly software forstatistical analysis. He is coeditor of Computer Assisted SurveyInformation Collection, author of Applied Survey Methods: AStatistical Perspective, and coauthor of Handbook ofNonresponse in Household Surveys, all published by Wiley. Silvia Biffignandi is Professor of Economic and BusinessStatistics and Director of the Centre for Statistical Analyses andSurvey Interviewing (CASI) at the University of Bergamo (Italy).She currently focuses her research in the areas of web surveys,online panels, and official statistics.
