Description

"I still remember the day when my mother asked how I felt not going to school but learning at home instead. I leaped at the chance to be home-schooled, like fire to paper, and I never looked back or regretted it afterwards. Home-school gave me the freedom to find myself spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally; and I'm so thankful for that." Home-school has the same traditional methods of academic learning, however, the setting is in your home and not in the classroom. Home-school can be for any child; however, it's mostly used for children who have disabilities, children who can't cope with the traditional school environment, or children who have been extremely bullied. As a home-schooled child with Autism and Expressive and Receptive Language Disorder, my childhood was a massive struggle. I faced many challenges that even an average child would find challenging. I have written this book to help other parents who may be thinking of home-schooling to be able to weigh up the pros and cons of whether home-schooling is right for their family.

Author Biography:

Alana Monet-Telfer is a British born self-published author and writer who has been writing books for over five years. Over the past decade, Alana has been an entrepreneur, selling her art work and having her own two YouTube channels where she publishes her life and content. In her life as a writer, Alana has published educational books from applied science to business, skincare and cooking books. Her most famous book is "The Benefits of Nature" which can be found on Amazon. Alana has always been independent, strong willed and an achiever in her life. This has reflected in her grades, which have been straight distinctions, as well as in her hobbies. Examples of these are her passion for spoken word poetry and the thirst for knowledge in the topics of property investment, business and spirituality. Alana's motto in life is always to create her reality and, no matter how much hardship hits her, never to give up and to persevere on to her next milestone of success.
