Description

Health and Healing is divided into three sections. The first section explains how a person can lose health through personal or corporate sin and disobedience. It also explains how health can be regained through positive confession and action. The second section relates to the healing ministry of the Body of faithful Believers. It explores the many and varied ways the Body contributes to the health and healing of others. The third section deals with the healing actions that an individual can take to foster personal health and healing in the absence of sin. From these three different perspectives, the reader learns to discern many of the causes and actions that influence health. Health and Healing gives knowledge, presents applications, and discusses contemporary healing miracles. Through the Holy Spirit, these lessons testify to God's hand and will. This book specifically focuses on the supernatural powers of God that influence the health and healing of humanity. The book explores the question as to why genuine healing signs and wonders rarely occur in this day and age. Many different factors influence health and healing, and the answers may be complex in many situations. The subtitle, "Wilt Thou be Made Whole," pinpoints two aspects of Jesus' statement in John 5:6. The first aspect, will, corresponds to the Old English word "wilt." "Will" emphasizes that an individual's will exerts a great influence on the outcome of health. Secondly, the verse includes the word "whole." When Jesus speaks to this sick man, He doesn't ask if the man wants physical healing. He asks if the man wants to be made whole. Jesus comes to make Believers whole - to heal minds, bodies, and spirits; these represent the three facets of true health.
