Over the course of 12 beautiful, perfectly executed tracks vocalist/guitarist/chief songwriter Robin Pecknold and his merry band of harmonizing gentlefolk revel in the same sort of ancient, acoustic, reverb-assisted stuff that made their debut so astonishing.
Helplessness Blues was recorded over the course of a year at Avast Recording, Bear Creek Studios, Dreamland Studios, and Reciprocal Recording. The album was recorded and mixed by Phil Ek (Band Of Horses, Fleet Foxes, Modest Mouse, The Shins) and co-produced by Fleet Foxes and Ek.
