Description

Herbie Hermit Crab is an endearing story about a shy little crab who wishes he was as funny, clever, and attractive as the other animals around him at the pet store. When a young girl picks him out of the crowd to be her pet and special friend, he starts to see himself through her eyes and finally comes out of his shell. Herbie then finds his place in the world and learns that being special does not mean being like everyone else.

Author Biography:

HELENA TOSCANO graduated from Gibbs College in New York City, NY. Now retired and currently living in Connecticut, she's enjoying her time with her two daughters and grandchildren. Helena's love for children has inspired her new passion for writing children's stories. She also enjoys song writing, playing the guitar, art, travel, reading, gourmet cooking, and gardening.
