Ian Herbie Hemphill cannot remember when spices weren’t a part of his life, from the time he worked with his parents spice company in Singapore to present day with his own specialty spices company.

Herbie Spices was founded to fill a need, cooks and lovers of good food who wanted access to reliable information on the universal use of spices. Ian’s book Spice Notes was launched and has sold in excess of 35,000 copies and received wide acclaim and many awards. Along the way Ian also picked up a prize in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2004- has also appeared in store for his books as well as guest appearances on Surprise Chef, Simon Marines ABC Saturday morning show and numerous other TV and Radio shows.
