Author Biography

Scott F. Paradis is a student of life and a seeker of ultimate truth. Striving to simplify the complex he studies human performance and potential through the disciplines of economics, business, human relations, communications, politics, philosophy, religion, athletics, and health and fitness. He intends to discern simple, enduring truths: the wisdom of life. Only once something is made simple can we, do we, truly understand. A native of New Hampshire, as of this writing Scott lives in northern Virginia where he concluded a 30-year career with the United States Army. He is married to a shining star, the former Lisa Newcombe, and has two extraordinary adult children: Merideth and Mitchell. Attempting to lead by example Scott helps people live full and fulfilling lives. He helps people dream big and build faith by establishing life-affirming habits of thinking, feeling and acting. And he helps people relate to others and life in positive, fulfilling ways. Scott retired from the Army at the rank of colonel. In addition to varied stateside assignments he completed tours in Europe and the Middle East. He served as a National Security Fellow with the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and as a National Defense Congressional Fellow with the United States Senate. He holds a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of New Hampshire. Scott's personal aspiration is for his life to be a message of hope, an example of faith, and an expression of love as he works to do the best he can with what he's got.
