Description

This book contains real-life stories of the spread of the HIV epidemic. This is a journey past and present where I have seen people from all creed and race including good friends and relatives living and dead with HIV/AIDS. It does not give an account of the suffering involved but tells the story of how persons ended up with the disease in the first place. The circle of relationships, mistakes made and the final consequence. While reading I hope and pray that you may learn a lesson from these stories. There are not many words to replace or substitute more than the original ones, fiction I can add but true and real stories such as these must be told as is. What has been written from start to finish is not fictionalized nor is it of any imagination from my mind. These events speak of actual places with real people who are either living or dead. As a matter of fact, this book clearly shows a wide range of risk and behaviour of persons who took great chances with their lives. Each and every person in these stories was a very close and dear friend of mine. Thereafter, you will be able to see that in situations like these no one is perfect or has a shield of covering around them. No one is invincible, it matters not whether you are black, white, Spanish, Indian, Chinese; man or woman; boy or girl; rich or poor, this can happen to any one of us as human beings. Everything that has been imparted, with the best of my knowledge is what actually happened. For reasons of privacy the characters and places have been renamed, to protect the individuals who are still alive. This book was written using dialect or plain trini slang. Some of the words were the actual words used by persons and was documented how it was spoken.
