Author Biography

Elizabeth Massie is a two-time Bram Stoker Award-winning and Scribe Award-winning author of horror novels, short horror fiction, media tie-ins, young adult historical novels, comics, radio plays, poetry, and nonfiction features and chapters for American history textbooks. She is also the creator of the Skeeryvilletown cast of bizarre but light-hearted cartoon characters. In her spare time she travels, hikes, sips chai at Starbucks, knits long scarves, and goes geocaching. Massie is an active member of Amnesty International and is the founder of Hand to Hand Vision (fundraising and sharing with those in need) and Circle of Caring (standing up and speaking out against bullying.) A ninth generation Virginian, she lives in the Shenandoah Valley with illustrator Cortney Skinner. Homegrown is her first contemporary mainstream novel.
