Description

While the gospel continually calls us to broaden our vision, the temptation today is to narrow our perspective. This insightful volume offers the Catholic reader the opportunity to venture forth to consider the rich wisdom of those representing other Christian traditions. The result surely will be one's own enrichment. Rev. David M. Ross, S.T.L., Ph.D. St. Charles Borromeo Parish Lima, Ohio Here are nearly 35 meditations based on Cycle C gospels covering Pentecost to the Feast of Christ the King. The meditations are primarily from Luke. Maurice A. Fetty is senior minister of The Congregational Church (UCC), Manhasset, New York. He has held pastorates in New York City, Michigan, and Minnesota. Fetty holds a master of sacred theology degree from Union Theological Seminary, New York City, and a master of divinity degree from Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis. John Lynch is a Lutheran theologian and pastor. After achieving his doctorate in Paris, France, he served more than twenty years as a Roman Catholic priest. In 1982, after a long period of thought and prayer, he became a Lutheran pastor. He serves Magothy-Chelsea Community Lutheran Church, Pasadena, Maryland; Holy Trinity Lutheran, Laurel, Maryland; and the Maryland Institute of Pastoral Counseling, Annapolis. Larry R. Kalajainen, New Brunswick, New Jersey, is a United Methodist pastor in the Southern New Jersey Conference. He holds a doctorate in Biblical Studies from Drew University. He and his wife, Carol, and their two daughters spent six years as missionaries.
