At a very young age Yvette picked up a piece of paper and a pencil and sat in front of the television and began drawing her favorite cartoon characters. She would continue and develop a love for drawing and writing stories and would soon combine the two and start making her own home made comic books and stories to sell to her family and friends. In 2005 Yvette explored the sport of boxing, and worked as a freelance photographer and reporter. As the excitement in the boxing world declined, so did Yvette's passion for covering the sport. In 2012 Yvette began her studies to obtain her MFA in creative writing. During that time she's written several short stories, poetry, screenplays and more. In 2014 Yvette published her 1st book of poetry, Ken Klu Zhen, which is currently in it's 2nd printing. In October 2015 her first children's book was published, Sage and Petey Goes to the Market. In January 2017 Yvette release Color Me Free, an inspirational coloring book, filled with inspirational words encapsulated by her intriguing artwork. Yvette is currently working on her second collection of poetry titled "Kuh-Lek-Shun."
