Description

Human Capital Investment for Central City Revitalization represents a departure from previous studies of urban revitalization which have concentrated on business-oriented discussions and strategies. This book focuses instead on ways in which the poor can be helped to improve their own situations and the central city itself. Rather than considering poverty to be a never-ending cycle, the authors discuss poverty as a condition that is fed and renewed on a daily basis by social and economic structures. "Human Capital Investment" is presented as a way to alter those structures.
