Description

Everyone would love to make six or seven figures as a base salary - the more zeros the better. Companies have changed the ways they evaluate each job and the value it provides to the organization with industry and competitive shifts. Employees need to think outside the box too and take ownership of their professional progress. Thinking that you deserve more money is very different than showing you deserve more money. Depending on your job function, you may believe that since you do your job well, meet all the expectations, and get along with your co-workers, you should get a pay increase. This may or may not be true. Even if you have received an increase in prior years, next year the company may need to make changes in personnel, business strategy, or objectives due to reasons beyond your control. Smart employees don't wait for industry, company, or economic changes to suddenly be valuable to their employers. Use this book as an idea generator, personal motivator, or professional organizer to position yourself for not only your next pay increase, but every performance discussion you have throughout your career.
