Description

Ten illustrators delve into the world’s woodlands to explore the creatures, culture and conservation for our forested areas. This super-sized book draws back the canopy of the rainforest, wends its way through the fir trees and dives into the depths to uncover fascinating facts about our forests.

Author Biography:

Editor and book review blogger at Through the Wardrobe, Libby's days are filled with writing, reading and dreaming up new books. Aaron is an illustrator from Belfast in Northern Ireland. He loves drawing and creating work that fuels his curiosity and adventurous side. Most of his work has been influenced by experiences and the world around him. When he's not out walking his dog he's scribbling down sketches of thoughts and images that come to mind. Grace Easton was born and raised in London. Having studied at Central Saint Martins, Brighton University and Minneapolis College of Art and Design she is now a freelance illustrator. Using mixed media and collage, she relishes the texture and spontaneity of using physical materials to create her illustrations. Her work has been recognised internationally by the Society of Illustrators New York, Society of Illustration West and the Young Creative Network. Sol Linero was born in San Miguel del Monte, a colourful town about 50 miles from Buenos Aires. There, he spent many summers drawing until he moved to Buenos Aires to study Graphic Design, the career that led him to the motion graphics world and later to illustration. He has an exquisite tea cup collection and is madly in love with a little dog named "Poncho". Stephanie Fizer Coleman is an illustrator, designer and generally curious girl living in West Virgina. She grew up in a rural area and the love of nature she developed as a child still influences her work today. She has developed a style of working that blends both digital and traditional elements and enjoys playing around with patterns, textures and brilliant colours in her work.
