Following an underwater landslide in the Persian Gulf, recent graduate, Roxie Phillips, becomes the lead oceanographer on the expedition sent out to determine the damage. When evidence of extra-terrestrial life is found, mankind's understanding of its own origin risks being forever changed. It is soon made clear to Roxie that if word gets out, there could be untold social unrest. But Roxie knows the truth must be unearthed. So, with only a mysterious artifact as her guide, she teams up with her old roommate, Jade, and the rest of their crew, to uncover the long-lost secret. But they are not the only ones interested in their discovery. Political tensions are high and not even their own people can be trusted. With secret agents closing in, Roxie must solve the mystery before the evidence is removed and the truth is buried forever. Will she act in time to prevent those who will do anything to keep both the artifact and the truth hidden, or will she lose everything?
