Description

Art Handling for Artists Through Noelle Richard's experience as both an art handler and artist, they learned tons of do's and don't's when it comes to making and sharing your art with the world. The art industry is full of gate keeping and tends to be about who you know rather than the art you produce. Since not everyone has the time or interest in an art's eduction, Noelle has broken down the skills and knowledge you need to make, frame, hang, ship, and market your art. Packed with detailed illustrations, a glossary, pricing formulas, and sarcasm, Noelle delivers what you need to know clearly without all the fluff and entitlement. You're choosing to play knowing the game is rigged. Here's how to play it well.

Author Biography:

Noelle Richard is a visual artist whose drawings and films show at galleries, pop-ups, and film festivals nationally and internationally. Devoted to the culture of DIY, they self-publish artist books and zines, and hand-print sustainable apparel in their New Orleans apartment. Invested in all aspects of art-making, they've worked in art handling for art institutions and private clients since 2014. They are currently creating a range of studio projects, including a picture book for the apocalypse, and limited-edition apparel collections, with collaborators locally and nationally.
