Emily James was born and raised in a Pennsylvania railroad town. Today, her days are filled with writing and spending as much time as she can with the two loves of her life--daughter Kristen and granddaughter Elliot Rose. At a young age Emily James learned to escape into the books she read. She doesn't know if it was the reading or the trains, but both fed her wandering soul. At the encouragement of a junior high school teacher, she started creating her own stories to escape into and would let the words take her in whatever direction they flowed. As with many creatives, life soon got in the way but in 2015 Emily James picked up her pen once again. The dark poetry she wrote became therapeutic for her. In her own unique and personal way, she writes of love, loss, hope, falling down, and getting up. Through her writing, she has gained over 250,000 followers on social media. Her words resonate with so many and she hopes those who read her writing know, that no matter what, they are not alone in this world. In 2021, Emily James released her debut collection of poetry and prose, Inside These Walls, which is available worldwide through Amazon and online booksellers.
