Author Biography:

Dr Wilbert Sibanda holds the following qualifications, B.Sc. (Human physiology) (University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg), B.Sc. (Med) (Hons in Pharmacology) (University of Capetown), M.Sc. (Med. Pharmaceutics) (University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and Ph.D. (Information Technology) (North-West University). He was the Subject Specialist (Bioinformatics Researcher) at the School of Information Technology, North-West University, Vaal Triangle campus, between 2012 and 2015. He is currently the Senior Lecturer/Biostatistician at the School of Nursing and Public Health, College of Health Sciences, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Howard campus in Durban. He has published extensively in the field of statistical modelling and medical sciences. Dr Sibanda has chaired special sessions in Machine Learning and Databases at leading IEEE conferences around the world, such the 2013 IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine, at Tongji University, Shanghai, China. He was the technical committee member for the International conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical Science in Copenhagen, Denmark (2014), Bangkok, Thailand (2015) and Bali, Thailand (2016).
