His Euagoras, an encomium of the Cypriot king Euagoras I, had a decisive influence on the establishment and development of the prose encomium. This volume presents the first modern edition and commentary of Isocrates' Euagoras. It offers a detailed introduction, the Greek text and an interpretational commentary.
