Description

Hi! My name is Jack as the title explains. I have been a Catholic all my life and a union member since I was out of high school. I've lived most of my life in Chicago except when I was in college and a brief stint for work on the East Coast. "Jack" is a story I have told several times. It is about a cover-up at a Catholic organization in Chicago. The last time I told the story and documented all the facts was January 22, 2015 in the conference room of a large well- respected law firm that was known for catching "white collar criminals"', but even the lawyers and the investigators could not get over the amount of detail I gave them. Later that day the 2nd meeting was cancelled because the first meeting was so explosive with dates and details that church hierarchy were ensnared by their evil deeds. Those ensnared were a Chief Financial Officer, Personnel department, 2 Construction Managers, 2 Bishops, 2 Lawyers, 2 Cardinals and an employee known to all as the "Target." Also, the second meeting was cancelled because it had the potential to do more damage than the story "Spotlight" covered by the Boston Globe and did substantial damage to the Boston Catholic University when the newspaper found a massive cover-up to hide pedophile priests. Pope Francis stated "You tell me: Can you live crushed under the weight of the present without a memory of the past and without a desire to look ahead to the future of building something, a future, a family? Can you go on like this?" This to me is the most urgent problem that the church is facing. In my case it was tossing out some religious individuals quickly, publicly and dishonorably. This story occurred in Chicago and explains how not only one man manipulated this large organization but showed the length and absurdity to elude all his past dirty deeds each day, while others were doing the same thing all behind Christ on the Cross. The story takes you into an area that is never talked about because it is seen as Holy and, Sacred-but it is not! It is filled with the same human frailty everywhere. This is a male-dominated arena both for faith and money, no women are allowed.
