Lara Nathan was born in Cape Town, South Africa. She now lives in Johannesburg, South Africa with her husband Colin, son Jamie, daughter Kyla and dog Miley.By the age of 22, Lara had lost her mother and older brother, both were killed by drunk drivers driving on the wrong side of the same road, 2.5 years apart. By the age of 23, after completing her degree in Marketing, Lara had spent a year living and working in London, and after coming back home to Cape Town, she unfortunately came home one day to find her darling grandmother, with whom she was staying, lying on the floor unconscious after suffering a massive stroke, passing away a few days later.7 Weeks before her wedding in April of 2013, her father passed away in his sleep. For someone who suffered great loss and great pain, Lara believes that life is truly the most precious gift and should never be taken for granted. She lives life to the fullest and always sees the glass as half full.Lara believes we can become stronger from our life's experience and that in the most trying of circumstances, it's our choice to see that which we choose to. Great challenges can present great opportunities and are often our greatest gifts.
